✨Stepping into your author identity

When you step into your author identity, it changes how you show up to the page.

It’s a mindset shift.

You stop asking for permission. You stop energetically asking the reader to take you seriously.

Instead, you know that they will.

And that expectation makes your words magnetic.

When you identify as a published author… before you’re published, it does something magical.

It reverberates through your words and out into your life.

And there’s no telling what happens next.

I know A LOT of authors who do not feel like authors.

I have been on panels with authors who say they feel like a fraud … not the real deal … like someone’s going to “find out.”

Because being rooted in your author identity has nothing to do with your external circumstances (whether you have an agent, how many books you’ve published, how many copies you’ve sold).

It has to do with how you see yourself.

And you can develop your author identity yourself… or not.

You have the power to decide.

Stepping into your author identity is the work we do in my Writing Brave Mastermind.

The mastermind is a six-month, intimate group program. It’s designed to fully support you as you begin or finish your book. It includes weekly live group calls (for teaching and accountability), plus monthly 1:1 support and feedback from one of my trusted Writing Brave editors.

Enrollment for the next round of Writing Brave Mastermind opens in early November. The mastermind begins in January 2025.

If you want to step into your author identity and become the author you’re meant to become, you want to be in this room.

Join the mastermind waitlist to get access to enrollment before everyone else. (This year we’re limited to sixteen spots.) That’s an opt-in page link (you can choose to opt in after clicking the link, or not).
